Cotton: Cabaret Stripe in Aquamarine £30 p/m

A soft, but lively, aquamarine stripe on heavy white cotton. In our eyes this is a playful twist on classic French ticking.

We suggest ordering a sample first, particularly if you want to use it for clothing. 

The fabric is the width of the fabric looms.

The cotton has been spun by hand, making the fabric extremely sustainable to produce. The looms require no power to operate. To produce one metre of fabric by hand requires 5 litres of water in comparison to mill manufactured fabric which will use 55 litres of water per metre to be produced. 

It will have all the lovely unique imperfections that you would expect in something handmade. The thread is hand spun and will vary in its thickness throughout, and in the weaving process the threads will be joined by little knots – unseen in uniformed machine made material.

The fabric has been screen printed by hand by our team in Jaipur, India.
