A Mini Guide to Whitstable

A Mini Guide to Whitstable

We will be holding our first Pop-Up in Whitstable this month from Friday 9 February at We Sell by the Sea. Located on the Kent coast, Whitstable is pretty much THE perfect seaside town with a pretty pebbled beach and bustling high street bursting with shops & cafes, you can just as easily enjoy half a dozen oysters & a glass of wine as you can a classic portion of fish & chips. Whatever tickles your fancy!
Here are some of our top picks of things to do, once you've had a browse of our Pop-Up, of course!
  • Take a walk along the beach and maybe even a paddle, if you're feeling brave, then enjoy a drink outside The Old Neptune pub on the beach.
  • We're not biased but Alice's cousin owns bistro, Samphire, which happens to be very close by to our Pop-Up, serving delicious seasonal fresh fish, why not give it a go?
  • Pretty in pink, Wheelers is like settling down in someone's front room, serving a fishy menu, you can also get take away if you're heading to sit by the waves.
  • A local institution the Royal Native Oyster Stores is perfectly located on the beach and is a great buzzy option for a special treat lunch or dinner.
  • Head to Harbour Street for a range of independent shops and eateries, you'll find  a tapas bar, a well stocked deli, a fish & chip bar as well as a lovely selection of stores including all things British-made in Frank, and The Cheese Box - which does what it says on the tin!
  • And finally, if you're feeing flush and fancy a stroll - wonder down the beach to Seasalter for a meal at The Sportsman, an epic multi award winning gastro pub - booking essential.
Oh, we do love to be beside the seaside!
