A Mini Guide to Marrakech, Morocco

A Mini Guide to Marrakech, Morocco

Our founder, Alice, recently spent a week in Marrakech, Morocco - here are her tips if you're planning a visit.

A few foodie recommendations - but just go and explore, the little streets are a bit daunting, but I felt very safe and travelled solo for a lot of it:

  • Le Jardin; Delicious for lunch and in a great shopping spot.
  • L’mida; Lovely food.
  • Comptoir Darna; Amazing atmosphere, great food.
  • La Pergola; Great music & drinks.
  • Kabana; For evening drinks & dancing.
  • LRNCE; Very much a working shop studio, but if you’ve got a larger budget and appreciate design, it's worth going to have a look. They also have a hotel which does food (you need to book) which I didn’t make it to, a bit outside of the centre.

The centre of Marrakech is wonderful just to wonder about and AMAZING for shopping. Take a big suitcase! Lots of places will send things via the post everywhere. So if you’re doing up your house and need rugs, tiles, taps, lights... Go there!

I also went to the Secret Garden, a beautiful garden in town and a nice place for lunch or drink opposite called Cafe Arabe.

The Yves Saint Laurent garden is a must! We got very soggy when we went, but it was still beautiful!

To stay; I stayed in a gorgeous Riad called Kbour & Chou which I would highly recommend and it had the best food I ate on the whole trip.
